Weird RPM Sticking at 2,500 some times
Weird RPM Sticking at 2,500 some times
It's really weird. the car idles perfectly at 950 rpm but if i get on the gas hard on low rpms like 2000-3500 rpm after i let go the gas the car idles at 2.5k rpm. I really don't know why. It will be like that for a very long time until it just stops. If i drive smoothly it doesn't happen. I think it has to do something with tunning but don't have a clue what it is.

Check for codes. A friends is doing this and throwing a tps and maf code. When it happens his tps usually shows @ 15% even with your foot off the pedal. I think you can test these like any other sensor.
There are some things in the tuning that can do this also. Give Ion a call since he does your tune.

Re: Weird RPM Sticking at 2,500 some times
actually i have to check that i think it stays at 0% but not totally sure. The thing is i'm working on my one tune and can't get a hold of him (haven't tried hard at all but will) what could be doing this on the tune itself?
OK. this is going to dumb but. I had the same problem. I have a 1997 Z-LT1 car. The car would Idle ok, But when you acclerated it would stick at 2500 or 1500. I spent 75 bucks an got a code reader. NO help. all the codes said were lean burn. I got upset and took it to a mich nech friend. Pluged in a REAL code reader PCV code poped up bingo a burnt hole in the PCV elbo. At RPMs sucking cold air keeping RPM up. once you get back to stoping position it's sucking warm air off the intake and goes back to normal.
