2009 saturn ion = opel astra diesel hybrid?

i wonder if it'll be available in diesel? is the diesel hybrid a hybrid in a traditional sense?

That is the plan, at least right now. The car wouldn't be a Delta either. It would be based on an evolution of the current Astra's updated T-body. BTW the T-body has IRS and the next one will likely have AWD capability.
