It's time to move on from Smokey and The Bandit. We need a good movie that makes The Fast and The Furious look like the bubblegum kiddie thing that it is.

I think I'll write a story for a movie. Cast Brad Pitt as the racer. And some Parisienne supermodel as the chick he wins by demolishing all comers.

You know, same old plot: Camaro guy wins, walks away with girl.

 

A movie with the Camaro, Challanger, and Mustang would be sweet! Better than a bunch of ricers.

Do you really want to lower the car to the standards of the ricers? Even if the movie is based on drilling every one it comes in contact w/? I have a feeling Chevy would like to lose the image of the redneck street racer w/ this car...

We had a Yenko in 2 Fast 2 Furious but... It was 2 Fast 2 Furious, so it doesn't count. As well, there was a 69 Z28, "Erin" in the newer Gone in 60 Seconds, even though it was never shown.

 

Slight correction, the car in 2F2F was a Yenklone.

As bad as these "car" movies have been lately do we really want to go there? Does anyone remember the movie promoting the new GTO? (Yes there was one.) I hope GM learned their lesson with that dog of a movie and won't co there with the new Camaro, unless its something decent.

How about a remake of Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry with a Camaro replacing the '69 Charger?

 

You are refering to 'The Last Ride' with Dennis Hopper. Yes, I own it... Yes its lame... If they made a movie staring tha Camaro, lame or not, Id still buy it.

 

i guess if the camaro were to 'star' in any movie that an old camaro would've been in, the only one that sticks out in my mind is aloha bobby and rose... the movie had a good storyline, and the camaro was cool. the nice thing about that movie is that unlike 2 floppy 2 flatulent is that the movie was based on a real plot, and had cool cars... not the other way around.

but if you just wanna be funny, how about doing blair witch, but swap the witch with the camaro and the college kids with ricers :-p "oh my god there are bowties hanging from the trees!" "aaah i hear V8s!" lol.

hm, with all the new reality shows out there, how about a documentary on a camaro just running around kicking the crap out of mustangs and challengers

"Hot Rod" remake starring Camaro! Or how about "Grand Theft Auto", I'm pretty sure that was the one I'm thinking of, already had a Camaro in it.

 

Since the movie industry is having a hard time comming up original ideas for blockbusters (everything seems to be a remake - even remakes of remakes)... how about a new Bullet movie (not a remake but a new story set in current day America) except this time he drives a hellacious 5th gen Camaro Z/28. Heh. Even better it would make the Mustang guys all mad (sacreligious and all that) .
