I Have A 01 Ss. While Running, The Car Has 58-60 Psi Which Is Within Specs. With The Key On (engine Off) It Drops Quickly To Zero. Sometimes I Have To Pump The Gas To Get It Started. It Runs Out Fine, Plenty Of Power, No Sputtering At All. I Just Relaced The Regulator W/ A Delco Unit And It Still Drops. Could It Be The Injectors Bleeding Down? I Dont Think Its The Pump. What Else Could It Be?

Leaky injector.

Since your 01SS has an LS1 engine, you should really post this question on "LS1/LS6/LS2/LS7 Engine Tech", not on LT1/LT4 Engine Tech...... the LS1 fuel system is radically different than the LT1. I'll move the post there for you......

oops, thanks, that's where I meant to post it.

How Do You Know Which One? Do You Have To Pull The Rail And See Which One Drips While Key Is On? Do They Need Replacing Or Just Cleaning To Solve The Problem?

IT DONT SHAKE, MISS,BOG,or hesitate at all. SPINS THE TIRES ALL THROUGH 1ST, ETC,ETC,.It has plenty of power, just need to pump it to get it started(like a carb).

on a fuel injected system, you're pumping air rather than gas since the fuel injectors have a preset pulse width in the computer for start up. if your pressure gauge is falling to 0 psi, that sounds like an injector is leaking and flooding the engine before startup, therefore causing the need to pump air into the cylinders. next time you go to start up.....try turning the key on engine off, let the fuel pressure drop, then rather than pumping, just hold the pedal all the way to the floor, and then crank it. if it starts up better, than it is more likely you are getting a flooded engine due to leaky injectors. scanning the pcm and checking your LT trims at idle and drive could be good help determing if you have a rich problem due to leaky injectors.

The Ck Eng Light Just Came On. Scanner Read Po174 (lean)?any Ideas??

P0174 = Bank 2 fuel trim system lean

The O2 sensors are indicating that the passenger side of the engine is running lean. The PCM has maxed the long term fuel corrections out, and can't make the O2 sensors read correctly. Either the engine is really running lean on the passenger side, or there is a condition that is causing a "false" lean - exhaust leaks before the O2 sensors or misfires on that bank of the engine.

You need to get a scanner on there, and read the long term fuel corrections for both banks of the engine. That will tell you whether you have a problem that is affecting one side of the engine or both. The long terms may be approaching the limit on the drivers side as well (something affecting both sides of the engine), or they may be "normal" on the drivers side, indicating that ts a problem that is only affecting the passenger side. Same thing suggested in the previous response.

Since you have the "lean" condition, its not likely to be leaking injectors. Could be plugged injectors or inadequate fuel pressure though. The low fuel pressure would affect both sides of the engine.

Helpful hint - don't take this the wrong way. Do you know that you could save a huge amount of time when typing, by NOT capitalizing the first letter of each word - is isn't necessary. :)
