Wagner pads + Telstars= Rubbing?!?!

Well i finished putting on front brake pads thismorning getting ready for a KC race tomorrow. Well i go to back the car out thismoring and i hear something rubbing, i pull the wheel off to find that the metal fingers on the brake pad bent and scraping the inside of my telstars :mad: :mad: :mad: On both sides :mad: Anyone have this problem before? Wagner pads and Telstars?

Are the metal fingers 100% necessary? Can i remove them? Here is a pic:

I believe you need that to keep your pad in place and from rattling in the caliper.

Looks like an inside pad put on the outside to me.

No they are installed correctly.
