Re: turn single????

PLEASE post on the correct forum. "Turn Signal" does not belong on "LT1/LT4 Engine Tech". Moving to "General F-Body Tech & Info".......

Re: turn single????

More info. would be good, but if you are sure its not the bulbs, my next best GUESS would be the turn signal flasher.

Re: turn single????

It has to be in the light somewhere becuase when you leave the turn single light on to the left the light in the cluster stays on. I then move back to the rear of the car and hit the tail light and it works, now this sounds like to me a loose wire but i took the tail light out and checked everything and it all looks good to me. Please help me out on this.

Bad bulb, corrosion in socket or bad socket.

Re: turn single????

Switch bulbs from side to side and see if the problem follows the bulbs. Sometimes bulbs can appear to be ok but are really bad.

Re: turn single????

You may have a bad ground circit in your taillight socket.
you can check it with an ohm meter.

http://www.buildaracecar.com/socketfix/socket.jpg
Test between the black wire and the metal on the inside of the socket
(with the bulb out)
you should get a short or very close to 0 ohms.
if not the ground is bad and you will have to replace the socket.

Also check to make sure there is an open across the black wire and
the 2 metal strips on the inside of the socket,

and
here is the real thing

Re: turn single????

As already stated, its probably a bad ground...I had the same problem so I piggy-backed a new ground and now its fine.
