What the ****. When I turned the wheel with the motor off, it shoots up from the cap of the resevoir. (This is on a 1991 Ford Bronco if it matters). Is this normal. The local mech. said its normal for Fords.

Kurt Crosbie 10-26-2005, 10:37 AM I was turning the wheel so I could get to the brakes so I could bleed them. I also notice that there a ALOT of play in the steering when I am driving. I can almost turn the wheel 90* before I get any response. Almost took out a mailbox because of it the other day. matLT1 10-30-2005, 12:21 AM If you have excessive play in the wheel I would check into a new steering gear box. Odds are the gears and bearings are worn allowing excessive play in the steering system. | ||
