Someone needs to give the poor Malibu it's chrome bar back..

I understand they are ridding Chevy's car line of the CBOD (Chrome Bar of Death), but in doing so, they should have givven the Malibu some new headlights. The SS isn't the bad, but the CBODless base car looks like it wants to kiss me or something

I think its an improvement but I think if they would have used a Cobalt style grill it would have looked great. Just that big of a open space dont look that good. Though a new set of headlights would have helped I say they have to test new headlights for a while first before they can use them.........

Headlights are a little froggy, but the car definitely looks a lot better. It was off my list altogether based on the former front clip.

I agree, it needs better headlights...but its still an improvement over the chrome bar!

Funny you should say that Branden. The more I see the new Malibu, the more I appriciate the old look with the oversized chrome bar.

The new one is a styling improvement, but it lost it's personality and looks pretty bland. I've attributed it to the grille, but now that you mention it, it is the headlights as well.

... oh, and by the way, I don't want to know what the tail pipe is saying to you either.

I actually like the new Malibu minus the chrome bar.

It looks a lot better without the bar, even with the goofy headlights. It's night and day better IMO.

Definately looks better , the super high mounted headlights do look qwirky though . From the way it sounds all and more is gonna be rectified with the all new Malibu .

well.....at least SOMETHING wants to kiss you!

(running, ducking, hiding)

As you can see, there are some that like the chrome bar and some who don't.

I agree with headlights (from a personal perspective) however, a new grille takes much less time to develop than a new set of headlamps. Remember that they must go thru long-term (not three months) validation to ensure they won't leak, turn yellow, etc etc etc.

Thus.....the new grille....but remember, there's a new Malibu coming.......I think personally the MCE (mid cycle enhancement in design terms) improved the look....yet the SS version is different enough from the regular Malibu.

Doug don't talk bad about big headlights. A girl with a nice set might not show them to you.

Least it doesn't come with dual exhaust....

I hate the chrome bar...but it looks like someone just decided one day that the bar had to go, but didn't spend the money to make it look right. I dunno..probaly just me.

The Impala and MC also look like they were supposed to have the chrome bar and it was dropped last minute!
