What are these 2 connectors near brakes under dash?
What are these 2 connectors near brakes under dash?
Poking around my 94 Formula M6 today, I found 2 connectors missing thier respective mates. Unfortunately, they don't hook together, or that would have solved the trouble.

The one on the right appears to be part of the brake light switch. There are spots for 2 connections here, yet only one has a connection plugged into it.
The other is just a 2 prong white connector, just left of the brake area. Didn't see anything that it might plug into.
Thanks for the help!

On an automatic you have to step on the brake to release the shifter. That's what this half of the switch is for. Because yours is a stick, there is no harness to connect to this.
Don't know what the white end is for. Probably an accessory you don't have. GM makes only one universal wiring harness for all models. So depending on what accessories you have there may be several unused connectors hanging around.
