Tornado Fuel Saver: Does it really work?therealmagyver 10-24-2002, 02:59 PM http://www.tornadofuelsaver.com Anyone knows of anyone who actually has this installed? And if so does it work. Gripenfelter 10-24-2002, 03:03 PM In a word...NO. Its junk. therealmagyver 10-24-2002, 03:27 PM So its a gimmick. afterimage ss 10-24-2002, 03:36 PM it's a POS... XKnightRider 10-24-2002, 03:55 PM Don't even think about it! fbird95 10-24-2002, 04:16 PM funny how Holley had the Titanium Air Foil Years ago for a lot more $$, and not to save on fuel. Tornado is trash. 2002Z28SSConv 10-24-2002, 04:58 PM I think I'm gonna save this response on my hard drive so I don't have to keep retyping it. It all depends on what type car you have. If you have a 2nd gen with an aircleaner on top of carb on top of manifold type setup, It will do wonders. It swirls the air causing better atomization. The engine burns a higher percentage of the fuel. It gets better milage and better HP. Since you posted this in the LS1 section, I'll assume it's for your LS1. Ignore the previous paragraph. The swirl will be isolated to the baffle area bfore your MAF. Once it goes through the MAF screen, any swirl it had will be long gone. You can actually loose power because of the swirl in the baffle having to be straightened out by the MAF causing less flow. The closer the swirl effect is to the actual location of fuel air mixture, the more improvement you'll see. But in a modern day FI car, it's just not gonna happen because the Tornado is mounted right after the air filter. Too far away. How do I know? My dad bought one for his 88 GMC Sierra and was very impressed. He ran out and bought them for his 95 Monte Carlo Z34 and my 88 Bronco (302 w/EFI). His excitement was soon over. Neither one showed any improvement at all. That's how I know. DohHunter 10-24-2002, 05:11 PM No. | ||
