Hey,
I have an upcoming friendly race with honda Civic. I think its at least a 2001 model. The car has been lowered and is running 10-11lbs of boost with a built forged vtec engine with dual cams. ( I think I said that right). Anyway he just recently beat a stock 2002 corvette by 4 car lengths.
I'll be racing him probably next week after I get a couple of oil leaks fixed, change my plugs and o2 sensors.
Do I have a chance, his car is pretty darn fast (power-to-weight ratio).

Well I just got my *** handed to me last night by one...he was running a little more boost than that I think. Yes I was spraying...after I lost I found out the car runs 11.20's

I feel that he will beat me as well. I told a mutual friend of ours that he would due to his weight advantage and all. I haven't raced my car since I added the SFC, STB, and the BFG DRs. As long as its not a blowout, I can stomach getting beat by a import If a car is fast, its fast--no matter what make or model. I'll post the outcome when everything goes down.

I cant even believe your asking this question, of course the Honda will win. Hondas are made by the hand of God, Hondas simply cannot be beat. Especially by a slow a** car such as a camaro. I mean come on, Vtec owns you.

Well what ever you do don't let him pull that lets go from a 80MPH toll BS or whatever those guys do...from a stop is your best bet...but I still think you may lose...

I think you have your facts screwed up cuz there was no DOHC motor sold in a 2001 Civic. The current SI didn't come out til 2002, and the old SI stopped production as a 2000 Model.

I dunno man.. you have a LOT of mods. I have heard of low-boost imports loosing to heads/cam Camaro's. You have a LOT more than just heads and cam though.

I now have my facts a little more updated then before in my previous post.
Going by what a mutual freind just told me, the car is a '89-92 Honda Civic Hatchback. I think he said it was a SI model?????. The car also has manual transmission, headers, and suspension mods.
Sorry for the misinformation given earlier and I'm glad someone someone has there money on me, but don't bet too much, LOL
I'll keep you guys posted... as soon as something goes down win or loose, I'll reopen this thread if it isn't too far back in the archieves.
