Will this combo fit and look good?

15X10 or 15X8 Weld Pro Star (i understand ill just need to grind the fins off the brake calipers and i should be OK with these??? Proper backspacing for the 10" rim is 7.5" and for the 8" rim is 5.5" backspacing? 4.75 bolt circle. Havnt decided if i should go up to the 10" for future upgrade purposes. Tires im looking at are M/T drag radials 275/60/15 (would the 295/65/15 be to big, im afraid cause of the height of it). Im wondering how those rims/tires will fill up the wheel well. I dont wanna leave it looking empty or way too stuffed up. I dont mind beating the inner fender some and rolling the lip with a baseball bat or whatever.

I want to do this right the first time and have done some searching and now im asking about what im not sure about and making sure i didnt misunderstand something. I know i need the special lugnuts, what about the valvestem?? Will a regular valvestem work? ANy other advice anyone can give would be great too. THANX FOR EVERYONES INPUT!!

Might want to mention what kind of a car you are putting these on.... sounds like it might be a 4th Gen, but why make people guess?

The 295/65-15 is a 30" diameter tire. It won't even come close to fitting on a 4th Gen without a Sawz-all, a torch and good body shop. 28" is pretty much the limit, and even those can cause some problems. And, running a 30" tire would be like reducing the numerical value of your rear axle by 13% (3.73 gears would feel like 3.23's). Even the 28" 275/60-15 is going to hurt unless you've got some steep gears and an huge excess of torque.

Might also want to mention what kind of power your putting down.

NHRA requires metal valve stems on tubeless tires, at least on slicks. Not sure if you can pass the Welds + ET Street Radials off as true "street" tires and get away with the stock rubber valve stems.

Sorry! Its a 95 firebird. Its got hooker long tubes hooker off road y and hooker catback and a K&N cold air induction only for now. Looking to go heads+cam+converter and spray this summer though. Im thinking stick with the 26" tire for now huh.
