lt1 vs ls1 vette vert

going to rent a movie, as soon as i am pulling out i see a yellow ls1 vette speeding down the road. well, atleast a lil over the speed limit so i am persistent on catching up to this guy, takes me almost 2 miles. then he takes a right on a 3 lane road. i pull up to him ( seems like he was waiting on me ) and i notice this GUY is a kid that couldnt be over 18.

so i tell him on 3, well he jumps the gun. i floor it at 20 and spin all over the place. alright so he sensed victory and let out quite quick. then we hit a light and i tell when light goes green. we both ease out and he hits it around 10 mph. i so the same and start spinning aimlessly into the oncoming traffic, so with car sideways i call it quits

then he says that is enuff, so i tell him 30 roll ( now my tires are hot they better freakin hook up) so he counts 1 2 3
i dead hook and he gets the jump, i reel him quite fast, and end up door to door on the 1-2 shift. I'm slowly creepin forward and the 2-3 shift comes and i start pulling away. we let out at 85 or so and i am 3 ft off his bumper

said it was his brothers car and he wasnt pushin it (um its an auto) said it had exhaust. so i am assuming catback.
since my run in with the 96 i have been on the prowl for a newer one and i got it 2 weeks later
enjoy

Good kill!

However, I would suggest getting 2 things...

1 - some tires that have tread on them
2 - some suspension mods so you dont fishtail everytime you nail the throttle. eek!

There is no sense in having all that power if you cant put it to the pavement.

Now go find a C6 and make me proud.

Re: lt1 vs ls1 vette vert

D/R have over half tread. it was just cold out. from the looks of it i have about the same amount of suspension but, less mods then you.
only other susp i can think of would be adj QA1's.
track opening is this friday, hopefully i will get some good runs on vid for u guys one will def be a wrx, so that will be interesting.
i called out a few STI but there all talk. hopefully they change there mind on track day and run me
peace

Guy at my work swears by his WRX. They are fast from a DIG but have nothing up top.

get some Vids.

Will be posting some vids of the Super Chevy Show GTG soon. Waiting on editing.

P.S. why do CZ28 members bash on other people's threads? Is it fun? Witty?

Actually that result is a little surprising. Stock C5 autos with 2.73 gears are known to be good for very low 13's @ 105-107. I would have pictured your car side by side with his till 100 and then him pulling slowly from there. But without a good stall in his brothers car you might have caught him in a dead spot.

Good kill but be careful with the vettes, they weigh alot less then F-bodies so minimal mods = maximum trap speed.
