'94 V8 4L60E work in '96 V6?

Will a '94 4L60E out of my buddies Z28 fit into a '96 V6? Is there any problems with an OBD1 tranny going into an OBDII car?

Thanks
Ryan

There are 2 major differences that make these transmission non-interchangeable. If it's a 3.4 V-6, it has a different bellhousing than the V-8. Second is, the '96 unit is a PWM (Pulse Width Modulated) lock-up transmission...The '94 is not. They aren't compatible, as a matter of fact, the elecrical connectors in the case won't even hook up. GM did this to make them "idiot proof".
