I was on a website the other day that sold carpeted "boxes" that bolt in to replace the back seats if you removed them. Now I can't find the website again. I think it had the word "Speed" in it, or "Race" ... that might narrow it down :p thanks :)

its speedspecialty heres what you want (http://www.speedspecialty.com/store/view_product.php?product=rrseatcvr) and they are a supporting vendor. may just want to try building them yourself though doesnt seem to hard.

Cool, thanks. I actually did build like a platform thing back there to hold my laptop and wideband computer, but it looks kinda rinky-dink. I might try these, they look pretty nice.

Wonder how much they weigh. One of the main reasons for removing the back seat for most is to lose weight. But I too would like something to fill in that space as long it is a good bit lighter than the rear seats...

the bottoms of the seats don't weigh much...maybe 2lbs each...it's the back that does.
not to mention you can then remove the seatbelts for the rear, including all the stuff behind the plastic panels. which probably saves a reasonable amount. speically if you never use them.
wouldn't be hard to make yourself, but by the time you buy the wood, probably some latches and some factory matching carpet...the $65 price tag doesn't seem so bad.
wonder how far the front seats recline with those? sometime i snooze in my car on long drives.
;) or i get some loving and need the room

Yeah I know its the back of the seat that weighs a lot...but I was just wanting to know how much those weighed overall compared to the back seat overall...because it would look goofy to pull the top half out and leave the bottom half in lol
