Re: y2k 18x9.5 wheels! need +65 offset!
i ordered my wheels for oe as well...funny my name is also cory. Something about them is off it must be their corvette offset, they sunk so deep in my fenders I had to jack the car by the axel or they woudlnt fit...they would brush the fenders. Now I can berlay go wider then a 240 tire with out rubbing, grr.

Very confusing post.... topic says you "need +65 offset" wheels. Message says you got wheels that say 65mm wheels but seem to feel they are 61mm wheels. You are talking a difference of 0.16" here..... Did you measure the wheels you have?
In either case.... why? Do you already have spacers and longer studs?
For a 4th Gen, with a 9.5" wide wheel, you want offsets in the range of 45-56mm. Anything greater than that, and the wheel moves deeper into the wheel well, causing exactly the problems TA-Body describes above. Generally, Corvette wheels, including many aftermarket/repro wheels have too large an offset to fit correctly on a 4th Gen F-Body. The only way to correct this is with "spacers", which then require longer/stronger studs. Many people don't like using spacers, particularly when you have high torque loads.

Re: y2k 18x9.5 wheels! need +65 offset!
ok, i bought 17x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear. the rears are +65 offset, and they fit completely fine with 275/40/18 nitto 555 on them... i wrecked my z, and putting them on my 98 v6 now.. and i went to mount new tires on them, and when i went to balance them, one is warped. i need a replacment, but all i can find are +61 on other site, and the place i bought them from seems to only sell the set that have +65 on them.. i emailed them, and calling them monday to see if i can order just one.
