New (reman) water pump bad?

Hey guys I just replaced my water pump last weekend. I got underneath the car this morning to check for leaks and such. I noticed 2 marks on the weep hole where coolant must have leaked. Is there anything I should be concerned about other then this pump is bad? If I added to much coolant could that have caused excess pressure forcing coolant out of the weep hole? I'm assuming its just a bad pump but if anyone has ideas of what else could make it leak I'd appreciate the input. Thanks.

It appears from the weep hole. I'm 99% sure. But yes I'll have watch the weep hole while its running. I was just wondering what are all the causes that make it leak from the weep hole.

It is possible that coolant could be leaking out of the top of the pump and running down the side of the pump and thus giving the impression that it is coming from the weep hole. Do you see signs of coolant elsewhere which would possibly indicate what I have described?
