Specifics about '01 SS?

I just got my wife an '01 SS. In the reading I've done, the SS has different wheels, differential and exhaust, besides the spoiler and badges. I'm assuming the earlier SS's (up to '97) were done by SLP and by GM after that. Correct? What cat-back would make a difference to an '01 SS? Is the Torsen diff any stronger than the standard one? Any better air intakes than what SS's have? Is an aftermarket LS6 intke manifold worth it?
Thanks,
Paul

98+ SS were sone by GM but there were still some SLP options you could add..

A Catback is usually good for around 10-15rwhp on a stock car.

You can buy what is called an air lid to replace the stock baffled one.

The LS6 intake is worth it if you can get a good deal...the 01-02s came with it from the factory.

Thanks for the answers.
What's the difference in the transmission? Just the Hurst shifter? (M6)

If its an M6 then yes the shifter is the only difference. SS cars already have a free flowing cat back so adding a different one does pretty much nothing except change the tone.

That's kinda what I was thinking on both accounts. Thanks.
