I mean my exhaust manifolds on my old Z looked like exhaust manifolds, but on this LS1 they look like headers. Is the design better or something on the LS1?

CASPER97TA 10-09-2002, 11:35 AM if you have the slp options on your ss you have high flow manifolds. the look like seperate pipes coming off the heads 6speedZ28 10-09-2002, 12:09 PM Yep, thats what I got....would I gain much going to Hooker LT's? PhantomTA 10-09-2002, 02:19 PM Originally posted by CASPER97TA if you have the slp options on your ss you have high flow manifolds. the look like seperate pipes coming off the heads there is no option for a high flow manifold from SLP or anyone else. thats just what they look like from 98-99 6speedZ28 10-09-2002, 02:49 PM Well damn, which is it people????? :D Ken S 10-09-2002, 03:05 PM yup, another improvement GM made. CASPER97TA 10-09-2002, 04:00 PM thanks phantom! i know the lt1 ss's had the upgraded manifold, correct? BlackHawk T/A 10-09-2002, 06:40 PM They are an improved design but you will still gain lots of power with Hooker Longtubes. People see as much as 25 rwhp with tuning.
