anyone here have or seen 97 with ANNOLOG oddometer?
i have a 97 ss with a annolog oddometer instead of the digital one . i am wondering how many that there might be? so far in 5 years i have heard of two online and seen only one other on a 97 z28..my guess is there is less than 50... what do you guys think?
Re: anyone here have or seen 97 with ANNOLOG oddometer?
the needles are thicker also. and the annolog oddometers have a different plexiglass cover..they attach totally different from the digital ones. i found this out as i installed my macewen gauge faces and besel...had to do a little modding but it fits perfect....maybe my guess of 50 or less is on the money.. thnks for the replys!!
My '97 has the analog odo. Its an early '97 built in August 1996. FWIW there was a special blue insert in the owners manual at time of delivery showing the two different odometers for the cars without the digital odo since the manual itself show just the digital one.
Granted this thread is almost two years old, but now I'm curious, those odometers that are analog on the 97 cars, is this an odometer out of a 93-96 style car? Did GM start using the 98-02 clusters later in the 1997 product year run? Or is this an actual 98-02 cluster but with an analog readout instead of a digital?
The 97 cluster is the same as the 98-02 cars. The analog readout is in the same position on the panel as the digital one. AFAIK the 98-02 dash was in all 97's. The new dash and the 30th Anniversary/Brickyard pace car "clones" were the big highlights in all the promotional literature I saw when I shopped for my car in late '96 so I seriously doubt there were any 97's with the earlier IP. The actual 1996 Brickyard pace cars I think, were 96's with the 97 30th anniversary exterior, '97 5-spoke wheels, houndstooth upholstery, but the old dash.
