can you swap a LS1 for an LT1?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

suffer an ignorant ford owner a question...

i have really wanted a 97 ws6 TA, but love LS1 engines. how much would be involved in swapping the stock LT1 out for an LSX engine? the engine, wiring harness, and processor as well as all sensors, etc seem obvious to me. this would be a purely street car. i am not new to fabricating or mechanical skill.

thanks

Better idea to buy a 98-02 car and swap front ends, the newer front end is usually more desirable so you could sell it or trade with someone with and get more cash back...

Plus it'll probably be easier then an engine swap...

I like em better, lot cleaner and sharper looking in my opinion, not as many vents, holes and guady curves
