column replacement

I have a 1992 camaro rs, yes the one with the the million dollar tranny mount..lol.. anyway i had the car up for sale, because i have 2 camaro's and i was going to sell one and 3 punks broke into it...they tore up the column pretty bad, dont these idiots know you cant steal a 92 camaro, unless you really know what your doin...well i replaced the column and now the check engine light and the airbag light are constantly on....Why???
How do i fix it???
