How would a Phoenix Gold r8.04 amp work with my setup...???

I have sitting in my room waiting to go in:
Clarion DX model head unit with the music catcher feature
Focal 165v Polyglass components
Custom Tweeter pods for the mirror area
Alpine Type-R 1041-d sub
Subthump driver's side box

Now, I am completely unsure about what amp to run. The guys at Earmark (a very high end car stereo place here in Dallas) said that they have the perfect amp for that setup.
They recommended a 4 channel amp. They carry a Phoenix Gold r8.04 amp that they said could have 2 channels powering the components and the other two channels bridged into 1 for the sub.

How well would this work? I don't need a show winning stereo, but I just want something that is going to sound very good. Would I be better off with two amps? if so, what are two good amps to go with for my application.

I prefer having a dedicated subwoofer amplifier myself (click my sig below). I don't like the idea of the main amp and sub amp sharing the same amplifier power supply. I also like being able to have a Class-D amp for the sub and a regular Class-A/B amp for the front speakers.

So what amps would you recommend?
