Deadcarny 10-03-2002, 12:06 PM with a vortech intake elbow, where would i put a NX shark Nozzle? i thought maybe i could drill from underneath through the center vein about halfway up. then the nozzle would be able to spray evenly on both sides, right?
MBonZ28 10-04-2002, 06:30 PM i have the vortech elbow and use a Nitrous works TB plate
Deadcarny 10-04-2002, 08:30 PM i was thinking of using a NX wet kit with the shark nozzle. how does the plate compare? if the plate is better, i could use it.
if i end up using the Shark Nozzle, i am going to have to remove the first few inches of the vein in the elbow to make it work. i figure that it would be give me a better mixture if the nozzle were placed near the MAF side of the elbow, right?
MBonZ28 10-06-2002, 06:10 PM you dont want your nitrous mixture to have to make that turn in the elbow. i have asked around and the there is no performance difference between the plate and nozzle
Deadcarny 10-06-2002, 06:13 PM thanks!
SVT Killer LV 10-07-2002, 01:32 AM I put it in the boot that connects the elbow to the maf, seems to work ok :D
FRDnemesis 10-07-2002, 01:01 PM I cut the center vane out with a dremel about 3" back and mounted the fogger nozzle in the normal position. It took about 40 minutes to do.

Deadcarny 10-07-2002, 06:00 PM i was thinking of doing this, but was unsure at how much fuel and N2O would be wasted on the front of the 'airfoiless' throttle body. i think i am going to run a plate with a spraybar in it.
rskrause 10-07-2002, 11:05 PM I used two. One at ~2 and the other at ~10 o'clock just a couple of inches upstream from the throttle body.

Deadcarny 10-07-2002, 11:11 PM how did you do this rich? do you have pics?
rskrause 10-08-2002, 08:23 AM I can get you a pic. Give me a day or two.
Rich Krause
FRDnemesis 10-08-2002, 10:37 AM I did the same as Rich. But I only have one fogger plumbed at the moment and a bolt in the other hole. You can see some of the pics on this cheesy web page I am trying to build.

texlurch 10-08-2002, 11:11 AM As long as you don't spray thru the MAF, you can mount it darn near anywhere.. my nozzle is in the Moroso CAI, about a foot before the elbow (no MAF).. at any rpm above idle, the air is moving fast enough to pull it around and thru the bends.. think about the right angles it has to make inside the intake!
Deadcarny 10-08-2002, 11:54 AM thanks all. i am probably going to just mount it at the beginning of the elbow, about 2 inches behind the MAF.
Deadcarny 10-09-2002, 11:20 PM does it matter how the noxxle is put in? i am going to drill and tap the hole tomorrow, so it is ready for the nozzle. i am just curious if it makes a difference if the nozzle is mounted more to the rear (down near the thermostat housing) of the elbow, since the vein is in there?
Z28ROC 10-10-2002, 09:20 PM Here's a pic of mine www.z28roc.cz28.com/en1.jpg
Deadcarny 10-10-2002, 09:44 PM is that a dual stage, or did you just 'T-it off' into 2 seperate shark nozzles? i could just buy the 2 T's and run lines directly into 2 nozzles like this, right?
Z28ROC 10-10-2002, 10:06 PM Mine's a dual stage.
If you use Y fittings, I don't see why your idea wouldn't work.
Deadcarny 10-10-2002, 10:19 PM thanks, if i don't find a tb plate, that is probably what i will do.
if i just used the one nozzle and mounted it on the side of the elbow, would more N2O and fuel goto one bank of cylinders? this is my main comcern for how to put the nozzle in. if i could just put the nozzle in the back where it fits, i would do that. i just don't want cylinders 1,3,5, and 7 to get too much N2O and fuel copared to 2,4,6, and 8.

http://pub21.ezboard.com/bscfyb will see this post or your busted for the shootout.
Deadcarny 10-12-2002, 09:18 AM yeah, i got a ton of posts on here about it. i am sure the secret will be out before the shootout anyway.
