cluth fork

ok so the tranny is down and im lookin at the fork and it seems really wobbly, how much play should there be it? should there be some sort of spring mechanism to push the fork back when its not being engaged? This is not a hydraulic(sp?) setup. Just wondering if i need a new fork and/or fulcrom bolt.

Re: cluth fork

There is a little bit of play.. as long as it's not really loose.. you should be fine.

And as firstz said, put a little high temp grease on the throw out bearing (on the inside.. you will notice a little depression, put a little grease there). Also, put the grease on the end of the input shaft, NOT on the splines, but also behind the splines. And for the clutch fork.. put some grease on the fulcrum bolt and a TINY bit on the tips on the actualy fork itself.

Sorry if maybe you already knew that.. but I'm currently about to put back in my tranny.. so all of this is fresh in my mind
