wiring a toggle switch for the fankristopheer 10-01-2002, 10:10 PM i've read this somewheres before, but i haven't been able to find a good site with detailed instructions or a diagram, can someone help? Rage 10-01-2002, 11:53 PM Do your fans work and you just want a fanswitch? Or are they not working and you need to wire them up? Well, mine were'nt working so I cut the wires from the back of the fan, ran the ground to a bolt, then the other one (hot) run it to your fan switch and plug it where it says ACC on the switch. Then run a wire from your battery to the fan switch where it says Power supply, flip the switch and your off. BUT........Remember that I only did that cause mine were'nt coming on AT ALL. If yours work, and kick on at whatever temp, ignore this whole thing. I have to turn my fans on everytime I get in the car. Good Luck, Peace out. Damon 10-02-2002, 01:49 PM There is a single-wire sensor screwed into the head, passenger side, between cylinders 6 & 8. Rig a switch to ground that wire and both fans will come on, ASSUMING they both work under normal conditions. If not, follow advice from the above post. MAKE SURE that when you install this "manual fan" switch that the sensor can still control the fans when you are not manually focing them on- it's the last line of defense to turn on the fans if the ECM goes screwy. | ||
