Should I go with the regular Solid Bushing or should I get the roller Bearing? I have always used the Bearings but When i took my motor out the bearing was eatin up after only 2k miles.. There was like no bearing left.. BUt new motor and all is going in.. so should i stick with the bearing or use the bushing? Which one is quieter?

Bushings are less likely to fail from what I've read here. That's what LT1s come with stock.

I honestly cannot think of a reason a brass bushing would work better than a roller bearing. GM sells the pilot bearing which makes me believe that is what's stock. Autozone sells bushings if I'm not mistaken.

Autozone sells both the bushings and the bearings for an LT1. I bought the bearint (Timken), but not sure if I sould return it and get the bushing or not.

Seems that i WOULD think that the bushing would be stronger.. I just want to know which to go with.. bearing or bushing...
