Tranny Problem

ok, i have a 96 trans am.

i recently installed hooker long tube headers, SLP cai, Trickflow elbow, NGk plugs, Taylor OTVC wires, TBB, and a custom gmmginc chambered exhaust setup.

i went to the track stock and hit a 14.3 stock with a 2.3 60 ft. so i know i could have done better but i only got to run once.

ok, i went to the track this past friday, with the new mods and was expecting a late 13 to maybe mid 13.

anyways, i run the car, get a .3 reaction time and proceed to get a suckyass 14.7. I hit the rev limiter on 2nd gear (bumped 2 times) then i hit the limiter on 3rd gear as well, so i let off, 14.7@94 was my time.

can anyone help me out and give me some opinions, and dont say the tranny is slipping! LOL say like hmm i need fluid or something hehe.

i was thinking of contacting pcmforless or madz28 for some programming on the rev. would that help? or it has nothing to do with programming? or tunning?

Re: Tranny Problem

While I wouldn't expect it with your level of mods, if the car gets up to speed/revs quickly enough, you can blow through the shift point and hit the rev limiter. So, a tune to raise the rev limiter might help to prevent this but, it could also be that your tranny is slipping a little
