Car was running, Boost/Vac was backwards, then car won't start. HELP!!!

Weiand 144 blower and intake had to come off cuz I blew an intake gasket. I marked my distributor properly before I took it out and then got the job done. I started the car up and turned my distributor a bit to get it to where I thought it was. I then get my timing light to time the car. I then get in the car and rev it a few times and notice that my boost/vac gauge is reading backwards. The car then shuts off and I can't start it again. I had to be running for a good minute 1/2 before it shut down. What the hell happened???
