Home made headers?

Last year on 12-15 I started to convert my street car to a dedicated drag car. The only concessions I've made are using the Comp Cams Endure-X solid lifters and street gears for the Strange 12 bolt. I am finally to the point of starting the engine. I had decided to run the Hooker shorties this summer to wring out the suspension and get used to the additional HP. This winter I planned to finish a direct port nitrous setup and install a long tube exhaust. The engine builder pointed out how much of the stock exhaust port was covered by the shorties. The AFR 210's are presumably much worse. I would prefer not to have to resort to trial and error to get a header that was not covering the exhaust port. My theory for maximizing the LT1 engine for drag racing is to run a big shot of nitrous and a long duration, high lift cam. I spent little on porting the intake ports for flow and have spectacular numbers on the exhaust side. I would hate to waste that good result. Can anyone recommend the best header solution for a dedicated race car?

Thanks,
Rick

I didnt see on tho's sites where it said they were available for the 93-97. The lemon headers have 93-97 listed but with no info. Does that mean they are only available as a custom order ? Also do you happen to know if these headers have bigger primaries than the Jet Hots and Hooker's ? Thanks for the help man!! :)

Search Advanced and LT1 Tech for Dynatech headers... I believe some guys were using their 1-7/8" headers with a little modification.
