bad idea?

ok well here it is, im gettin 373s but i was told not to, because my mileage on my car is high, i was told that it is bad to go to lower gears on cars with high mileage, i have 95k miles right now thanks

Who told you that? Only logic behind that is if maybe your transmission is in poor shape...maybe they wanted you to get that squared away first.

I had 3.42s put in roughly at that many miles...though I hope you don't do a lot of highway driving with 3.73s. That might be a little high...for my taste at least. Others don't mind...

Roseville area, eh? I'm in the Bay Area (San Jose area) but I'll be up there this weekend...

That doesn't make any sense. I put a turbo on my car at 90k miles, and she still runs excellently. A gear swap at that mileage is totally fine.

95k isn't that many miles. The 3.4 is a stout motor that should run well until at least 200k miles with proper maintenance. Get the gears and enjoy!
