95 Mystic TA

I had some work done awhile back and the guys that did the work had to pull the knee bolster out. This is the plastic piece just below the steerring wheel that houses the trunk release button on the TA's. It's what your knees are directly in front of. When they did, they ripped the plastic holes the bolts went through. To make things worse when I got the car, it was already damaged and would never completely silled up to the piece just above it that surrounds the steering wheel and the dash guages. From what I can tell there are 2 7-8mm bolts that go in the bottom but thats it. There is some velcro strips there now but I don't believe they came on the car. Other than that I don't see any other bolt holes. Can anyone give me a description of how many bolts or other devices are used to hold this in place? Thanks a bunch.

Just from memory here, there's 2 or 3 'tabs' that go into 'slots' in another plastic piece in the firewall..
Then there's 2 or 3 screws that go in from the bottom [in the front part]
If they tore em out, maybe longer ones with washers would work?[And for SURE I'd find another 'shop'..]

The Velcro tabs came stock from the factory on my 94. The one on the right end doesn't hold very well any more, and the panel will sag slightly on that corner.

Follow up:
Apparently Z's are different than birds..
I had mine off today[94Z], and the piece just under the steering wheel has 2 phillips head screws on the 2 front bottom corners, and 2 7mm [socket size] screws on the 2 rear corners.. [no velcro in sight..]
Also, the next piece[farther under the dash], has push in plastic 'mushroom' things[ not sure what they are called]on the 2 front corners, and near the fire wall on the right rear side there's a plastic tab that indexes the firewall... and another plastic tab on the left that indexes the left kick panel..
That's it..
