Post Review for wheel seller on ebay:moore9911

Ebay seller : moore9911
Business name "OE Wheel Distributors"
Business Base: Sarasota Florida
Finish warranty: 1 year
Structural warranty: lifetime

First off I called these guys simply because I wanted a set of 17x9.5 fronts and 17x11 rears. I was looking for polished wheels, and I've actually had awesome success with Sumitomo tires on some of my others cars. The HTR Z tires do suffer from a wicked fast tread wear, but the cost is proportionally low to match.

Specs for the 315/35r17 from tirerack.com:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

Now the low-down. I called them originally on the 9th of April instead of buying an ebay auction as they didnt have the full set with tires in polished, only chrome and silver...

$1090+sh for silver
$1180+sh for polished
$1280+sh for chome

all sets add $120 shipping. Tires come mounted but not balanced, with standard vette centercaps and nice valve stems. No biggie.

So I called the 9th and ordered. No problem. I was told I'd get the wheels in about 10 business days. I called late the next week to update on the 15th and was told they were having problems getting the 315 tires. They were looking into alternatives and I was told to call back on Monday or they'd call me on Tuesday.

I called on the 19th, there was no alternate tire available. They gave me the option of waiting, refunding my total purchase, or refunding me their cost for the two tires plus $100 which should nearly cover MY cost to buy the same tires from tirerack.com. I payed an extra $12 for shipping but no biggie. They were more then willing. I called back on the 23rd, and I was told I was told that the set of polished I was going to get failed QC so that held things up, but my account was going to get credited that day...

Called back on the 27th, looking for my wheels and tires, as I now had the rear tires from tire rack. They were getting shipped UPS that day and I should see them afterward in roughly a week...

May 5th they finally arrived. It wasnt 10 business days... it turned out to be 18! @#$%^

However, they were more then willing to keep communications up through the whole ordeal, very apologetic for the delay, and very helpful to returning my calls when I wanted them to. I payed $1320 in the end to get the set shipped to my door. The casting on the wheels isnt 100% perfect. If you look really close at the surface, you can see the casting of the wheel wasnt dead flat or even, but from 3ft away it looks perfect. However there are no scratches, no pitting, no marks on the whole of the wheel. Would I prefer a better wheel? Yes. Have I seen worse finishes on OEM Mercedes or BMW Rims sitting on the car in a dealer lot? Yes. Have I seen a similar set of AFS wheels? Yes. Can you see the difference between the two? If they are both laying flat on the ground in bright light and you're 6" from the face of the wheel - yes. Otherwise? No.

Considering the tires alone to my door were $591.32 from tirerack, that means I just paid $720 for a set of brand new wheels shipped to my door. During the conversation when they told me the one polished set failed QC, they said they'd try to make sure it wasnt and issue and get me a set as soon as they could. He joked if they couldnt get the polished ones right away he'd send me chromes for no more cost as an apology it was taking so long, which I joked back saying it would be fine to do that.

And finally, unless I'm mentally handicapped, he was serious and sent me chrome wheels wheels in the end, and his last call was an apology one more time, and thanking me for my business.

All in all, good wheels for the price. If you're **** about traction - get Nittos. If you're **** about quality, get AFS for $400+ more or some billet wheel. But if you've got a nice car you enjoy and want it to look impressive without breaking the bank, and get a good deal - I reccomend these guys.

I know the seller and wheels you are refering to on E-bay, I was bidding on those same wheels <id= Maverick98Z>. I was outbidded at the last minute. Would you recomend these guys to purchase those rims from? Are they decent prices? SLP had the same rims (silver painted 10-spoke 17x9) for $399, not sure if they included s+h.
