Take it to the dealership. There is a code they can put in it to unlock it and it shouldn't cost you anything. I had to do it on my parents suburban and it only took about 2 min.

Use Mr. Searchy and search for "unlock radio". You should find many threads with
the directions for doing it.

I did a search on google and found this.

First, press and hold presets two and three for a few seconds. Three digits will come up on the display. These are the first three digits of the factory unlock code.

Press the AM/FM button on the unit and another three-digit number will read out. These are the last three digits of your code.

Call 1-800-537-5140. You'll be asked for a dealer code, enter 206053. Enter this number and then press the asterick (*) button.

Now enter the six-digit code that you got from your stereo, first three digits first, then the last three. You will be given a four-digit response code. Make note.

In your car, hit the MN button and 000 will appear on the display. Press MN again o make the last two digits agree with your code. Press HRto make he irst one or two digits agree with your code. ress AM-FM after you have confirmed that he code matches the code you have written down. The display will show sc, indicating the raio is now operable and secure.

You should be unlocked!

If that doesn't work I don't know what to tell you.

What mullet said, the reason why the dealership usually charges .5 to 1 hr for code is because they have to pull the radio. If you want you can try calling the dealership where the car originated from and see if they have the code in the system.
