Where to put battery disconnect switch?

Just purchased a Moroso battery disconnect switch for my third gen camaro. Where is a good place to put it? I'd like to place it behind the license plate, is that possible? Any idea's or even pictures would be great.

Thanks.

i dont know if mine is the best spot but i put it behind the headlight. in between the headlight and the body. i just didnt want it to show on the outside plus it is more for storage an theft protection.

I would put it in the rear. If the engine flames up, you can run rearwards and turn it off.

Here's mine.

It's mounted in the cover on the right side of the license plate.

Well, if it is a safety thing then I would put it where Stephen did. After all, if you crash and are unconcious, you want me to be able to see instantly where it is to cut the motor instead of trying to locate one.

If you need one because you go to a drag strip, read the rulebook as to what needs to be done to have it installed.

well like i said i did mainly for theft reasons and also it is alot easier to use a switch then going to disconect the battery all the time. i also wanted to keep mine looking stock on the outside you know the sleeper type.

Good picture! There's a start. My car is a weekend trailor queen so the purpose of the switch isn't really for racing needs as much as it for just pure conveinence. I moved the battery to the back to help clean up the engine area, and it would be easier to have the switch to control power, than having to R&R the spare tire cover all the time. If anybody else has anything please share..

Thanks for the info.

Well, if you are not doing it for safety reasons, I suppose that you could put the switch under the seat.

i hope you don't have a cd player, or an aftermarket radio...because everytime you disconnect the battery, your cd player forgets all of the bass/treble settinsg, your presets, and pretty much every info you put into it....i learnt that the hard way, i had a 500 dollar alpine deck, paid a guy to mess with it and tweak all the settings, then the battery gets disconnected and you loose all of those settings....it gets old real fast....

Can’t you run a constant power wire from the battery to the radio so that won’t happen?
