a couple kills with no traction
i got my engine broken in and decided to cruise down pch (pacific coast highway). it borders all the beaches in so cal. lots of rich people around there. well anyway, i was driving down the highway when a saleen pulls up next to me. revs it up, and of course, i do the same. going about 35 mph, we both hammer it and there i go peeling out til 50mph. he had a two car lead and when my car hooked, i was gone. left him about 8 cars behind. first kill. half hour later, i see a mustang gt. i rev it. he responds. off we went. no traction for the first two runs and he left me behind without a chance to catch up because of red lights. then, on the third run, i dont hammer it right off the line and get some traction. i handed his *** to him. his car was a tiny speck in my rear view mirrior. couple hours later, i see a ferrari f355 spider pull up next to me. messing around, i asked him what the retail was on that. he said "dont know, its a rental." i laughed. he said that it was super fast. i said if he wanted to run. he smiled and said, "why not." at a red light, he revs up to launch. light turns green and to my surprise, my car hooks up. left him in the dust. it reminded me of the gt race. im real happy about the way my car runs. cant wait to take it to the tracks. what tires should i get for traction? i was thinking about street slicks? what do you guys recommend? it'll be my daily driver for a couple weeks til i get a beater.
An 03 cobra pulled up next ot me in my 94 Z. We went from about a 15 roll and he had about a car legnth at 120 and I had bad traction problems in 2nd and on the 3rd shift. Then he refused to go from a stop. With stickier tires or any suspension work I would have taken him. I think
