HELP!!! I have no oil presure!

Well it has finally happened, My first, seemingly major problem with my car. This weekend I went to visit my Family and take the Camaro out for a spin (it's stored with them).

I get in and it starts right up, however at the end of the 1/4 mile driveway I notice oil presure is sitting at roughly 8.

The car was running just fine and I could detect no smells. The only thing that I found was a trace amount of oil on the front of the intake gasket, nothing that would indicate a large enough leak to drop presure so far.

If everybody could shoot me some ideas on what to possibly look for/do, I would appreciate it. BTW, all maitence is very up to date and it is rarly driven, oil was clean.

Assuming that the oil is full, the first thing I would do is hook up a separate oil pressure gauge (mechanical preferably) and verify if the oil pressure is really that low. Quite often it's a bad gauge or sender.
