please bear with me here, because i am lost. i just got some tuning software and a friend of mine friend gave me a generic program to start me off. he also gave me some files of other programs for me to read through to learn a little. i looked through the generic program a little, and it appears to be almost the exact same as the HPP program he gave me a file of. there are a couple small differences, like the values in 'MAX RETARD Vs RPM (IN WOT)' are lower than the HPP. anyway, with this program, my car is a little rich (pops through exhaust when i let off at high RPMs). here are the questions i have:
the EGR settings on the ECM constants have all been raised, does this matter?
in 'EXTENDED SPARK ADVANCE Vs RPM Vs MAP', between 4000 and 6500 RPMs at 95 and 100 Kpa my spark advance is less than stock at a value of 30. would i get a better program by putting these values to stock (the stock values at these RPM's and Kpa are 33, 35, and 36)?
in 'WOT %CHANGE TO AFR Vs RPM', would any of this make any big differences? the values in the new program are lower than the stock values after 3600, would any of these make a big difference?
then there is my Reverse lockout question i asked before. it is not working once the car is moving. anuy idea what could cause this?
