Unless you use spacers. I think they need like 2' spacers.

the point is that getting a set of salad shooters with tires is a heluva lot cheaper than going and buying a set of those awesome wheels, and I only plan to use them for the winter, so I dont want to spend much. but 2 inch spacers are WAY unsafe in my opinion so no matter the cost they wont be going on my car.

The point is that I got wheels, tires, and adapters for about $1000. 275/40/17s all-around. And non-chrome aftermarket wheels for our cars are hard to come by. I HATE chrome/polished wheels- too bling-bling, not to mention they look horrible on a gold car.

As far as spacers being unsafe- not at all. They aren't spacers per se, but adapters. They bolt to your hub, then the wheel bolts to separate lugs on the spacer. They are every bit as strong as the hub on the rim itself, so separation worries are nil. I've been running them for nine years without issue.

Vette Brakes- www.vettebrakes.com

$250-300 for a set of four, depending on what you need.

Hey todd, are you running 2" spacers on yours? I want to get adapters that will work for the 16" firebird 5-spokes I have now, and I want to be able to use those same adapters when I decide to upgrade to 17's (once I have the cash)

whitetrash-

The 16s and 17s would require different spacers, really. I ran the 16x8 Z28 salad shooters for a lot of years. I used 2" front, and 2.25" rear with those. The Firebird rims have slightly more offset, IIRC, so they'd sit in slightly deeper.
For the 17x9s, I use 1.5" front, and 2.0" rear. There was no way the 17x9s were fitting without kissing fender lips with my old spacers. So, I moved the front to the rear, and bought new 1.5" spacers, and sold the 2.25" pieces.
