Quarter panel stress dent(s)

This might be an old topic, but alas this has happened to me again. About a year ago, after hitting a hard seam I had a real small dimple in the quarter panel of my then new SS. Today I found two larger but somewhat faint waves or dimples in the same quarter panel area, further toward the front. Here is the kicker: The car has been sitting for a month!! I've never launched hard with the car, but it has seen a few trips beyond 110 mph. I'm thinking that probably the last high speed romp I went on probably did it. I didn't hit any hard bumps either.

Can anyone advise me on what to do? I will probably have a paintless dent removal person look at it. I hope he won't have to drill a hole, but push comes to shove I'll probably have it done regardless if it can be fixed. Subs will follow immediately! Thanks.

There is a "ripple" in the rear quarter panel that is common on these cars. Are you sure what you are seeing wasn't there before?

Maybe try getting subframe connectors?

I have them too. I wouldn't worry about them, if you get them fixed the might come back and your just in an endless cycle.

Just think of them as power dents,

BTW I have subframe connectors, but I don't think they would help as far as the dents. Look at the dents they don't look like they are caused from the twisting force from torque on the chassis.

No those babies are new. I have been over that panel many times. I was thinking of the sfc's to help. Someone says that it might not help. Most people say that it should. Now I'm not sure. This is the only reason I was thinking of putting them on.

I can learn to live with them and such, but I figured if I could stop them with the sfc's then I'd try to have them removed....

Who knows.........it is always something with these cars.

I just want to make sure that the problem will be arrested with subframes. I was avoiding them (despite its benefits) until I saw these "ghost" dimples.

I can live with anything, to be honest, but if I can help it I'd rather not.
