Just a thought, but what do u think the new Ford GT will do to the Vette? IT looks the part and sure runs it.
Chevy needs to come back with the 5th Gen camaro and supercharge it, blow the gt out of the water!

However, if Chevy builds the rumored 625HP "Blue Devil" Corvette, and prices it aroudn the rumored $100,000 mark... I think that might have an effect on the GT.

I certainly don't think a future Camaro will even give a thought about the Ford GT.
A Camaro "blowing GT out of the water"?
You're kidding right!?
What about that new F-22 Raptor fighter? I hope they have a Camaro version that can attain "supercruise" speed (above mach 1, without the use of afterburner), like the F-22.

I don't think Chevrolet will even need the "blue devil" the Z06 will be 500HP and 300lbs. lighter than the Ford GT.
Ford GT production will be just over 1000 cars a year at $140,000. I don't think they will hurt Vette sales.

Does anyone really think that the person who's about to lay down 140,000 dollars for a GT, will be considering the Z06's better value/performance quotient?

a) they can
b) the "cool factor" is huge
A GT buyer won't look twice at a Vette.

This is like comparing the GT to the Saleen S7. Sure, the GT's performance comes awfully close to that of the more expensive S7, but it isn't in the same class as the superexotics like the S7. For that reason, you won't find too much cross-shopping between the two. Same with GT and Vette...even if the "Blue devil" is thrown into the mix.
I'd get the GT:
1) Looks better (not cloned twins like the Viper and Vette).
2) It won't be seen everyday. And yes, I see Vipers and Vettes all the time.
3) It's a GT. It looks AWESOME.
4) It kicks ****.
5) See 3 and 4 above.
