i have an aftermarket component set in the front doors, its an alpine set i forget which  they were cheap but maybe now i see my mistake. it just sounds like there is a lot of background noise or static, like a "fuzzy" sound. even if i mute the radio its still there i want to punch the thing and make it stop. connections are all tight, although there is a little rust on the screws holding the wires on this plastic box deal i cant remember what is called. is there anything i can do or check, or do i have to replace the damn things?

Sounds like you are picking up some induced noise. Are the speaker running off an aftermarket amp? I bet a good solid re-grounding job would help.

well i have a 4 channel amp, i cant remember which sets are running off of it, but i think it might be front and rear and i left the middles alone i cant remember that far back. how could i re-ground it? im not too good with this audio stuff, im better under the hood :)

make sure your ground has a solid metal connection scrape away all paint ect. also make sure you have your powerwire and rca cables running on the oppsite sides of your car thats another way to pick up pink noise
