Post 75 or 125 Zex shot on a stock 93 LT1

I'm looking to buy a Zex nitrous kit for my 93 z28. it has 50,000 miles on motor, and the only mods to the engine are crane 1.6:1 roller rockers. other than that i have a hypertech chip, 160stat, hollowed cats, hooker catback and cai. should I run a 75 shot or 125 shot? My 1/8 mile best is 8.85@80.48. what times will i be looking at after install?

I would go with the Nx kit instead, safer kit because it is a wet kit where Zex is a dry kit, about the same price if you shop around, Nx is rear wheel hp, not fwhp, just running a 75 shot knocked about a second off my 1/4 mile time.

95Z basics, 4:10's, Nx kit

I like the Zex kit. I have had both and i prefered the Zex. It is way easier to hook up and it actually tricks the motor and adds more fuel at the same time. I had the 125 on my stock motor so you should be just fine with it.

I'm going to ask this questio again...lol

How can a 1993 use a dry shoot if we don't have a MAFs?
I know that everybody spray before the MAFs on the dry shoot on lt1s, but we have speed density... what's up with that?

Man, our cars dont use the maf to calibrate nitrous/fuel mix like the LS1s do.

It is sprayed after the MAF if you dont have one, then thats all the better. Fuel is added via nitrous pressure on the FPR which in turn causes the stock fuel injectors to add more fuel. I too have the kit and love it. Super easy to install, came with an inline fuel pump and has run perfect since day one. You can probally run 125 with no major problems. I am. The only problems I had was I burned plugs once due to not using the correct heat range. Get some TR6s. Dont use Zex Hyperformance plug, I did and they dont work right in our cars. I was having detonation problems under normal driving conditions. My current problem is that I blew my cats out..both of them. I am currently replacing with Mac 93-95 headers with y-pipe and offroad pipe. My engine has never been harmed in any way...yet! Ive been running the Zex kit for about 9 months.
