HOW DO I KEEP THE TORQUE CONVERTOR FROM LOCKING UP IN 3RD GEAR AT WIDE OPEN THROTTLE?lt1lt1 08-05-2002, 12:29 PM I HAVE A 93 FORMULA WITH A 4L60 TRANNY. IN 3RD GEAR AT WOT IT LOCKS UP THE TORQUE CONVERTER AND LUGS THE MOTOR SLIGHTLY LOSING RPM AND MPH. IS THEIR ANY ONE THAT MAKES A HARNESS OR SOMETHING TO MAKE IT ONLY LOCK UP IN 4TH GEAR ON A 4L60? ON ENGINE IT DOESN'T ALWAYS DO IT, BUT ON NITROUS IT DOES IT EVERY TIME. IT PULLS UP TO 7 DEGREES TIMING WHEN THE TCC LOCKS UP. As you can see from your "topics" on the list of topics, and from the width of the screen on your messages, it makes things too wide and too unwieldy.
