Post Ran nitrous again today, but now car misfires

Anyhow I used nitrous for about 5 seconds today on my way home. When i went to leave later today the car felt like it was stumbling/misfireing. I took it too AutoZone for free "ses" check and it said that i was misfiring. Do you think that the plugs are the problem? I have new Accell 8.8 race wires so I dont think thats the problem. They are regular heat range Splitfire plugs. They have worked in the past. What plugs should I buy to replace the F****D up ones? Do you think its possible to have messed up the optijunk? Any help would be great.

Splitfires and N2O = not good....you may have detonated one of them....get you some NGK TR6 or some Autolite 104 . If you do find one or more detonated you may have bigger problems in those cylinders. Hope this isnt the case but you still need to change thoes plugs.

Thanks for the response. I am hoping its not anything worse also. Wish me luck. Anyhow, since i have a zex kit, I ordered the Zex Hyperformance plugs. I think they are one cool looking plug (not like it matters). Check them out and tell me what you think. It was a little over $40 for them. http://www.zex.com/store/merchant.mv...egory_Code=HSP

get some ngk tr6 plugs. You probably toasted one of the plugs. I had this happen to me.

You seem to have a fetish for poor plugs...

The NGK TR6 and Autolite 104 are proven to be excellent selections for the LT1 on juice. SplitFires are a POS for an N/A motor in a stripped down econ-box. I bet you burned the ground strap off several of them. Who knows what the ZEX plugs are? What heat range are they? How many steps colder than stock?

I called Zex today and asked them what kind of plug is thier plug equal too. They said their plug heat range was the equivilent to an Autolite 103. I told them my application/setup and they said that I will not have any problem with these plugs burning up. He also stated that the quality of them is "far superior" to its competition. Hopefully he is right. They will be here frinday. Ill repost this weekend and let you know of theyre ****ty or not. Later

Thats alittle tight if you ask most anyone here. Should be more like .038 . Again Im sure ZEX belives they have a good product but when dealing with nitrous always, always stick with the tried and ture...go with Autolite 104 or 103 or NGK TR6.

I suggest you do alot more reasearch on nitrous in LT1 apps before you spray again....you have allready made some basic mistakes and you dont want to make anymore. Right now your just shootn from the hip.

I spent 5 months researching use of nitrous, applications, etc..I made this mistake knowingly. Reason was that I had just bought the plugs a month before I bought the nitrous. I knew of the consequences but just wanted to see how it would work with those plugs. Afterall they were about $37 and I did not feel like doing the plugs again. BTW..My car ran perfectly fine on those plugs with the 75 shot for 3 months and 40lbs of nitrous. Then I just recently switched to the 125shot and it toasted them on the 3rd time using that shot.

****..I forgot the reason i came on here a minute ago was to tell you that the plugs are in, and the car is running like a champ again. It does not idle different or anything. Also made 2 bottle runs on my street(prive owned dead end, only 15 houses on 1.5mile of road). Wow, it actually hits harder than before. I dont know if its just me or what. Anyway the plugs seem fine and the cars runs good. So far the plugs get an A+, at least for their first day. Later guys
