I've seen this mentioned in several threads. What is it, where does it go, and where can you pick one up?

Vette servopigsticker 09-09-2003, 12:01 PM I've seen this mentioned in several threads. What is it, where does it go, and where can you pick one up? 82355 09-09-2003, 12:48 PM It goes in your tranny, it replaces the small apply area stock servo with the Corvette piece witch has a much larger apply area. Giving you a firmer first to second shift with less chance of the band slipping. Any tranny shop should be able to get you one, they are kind of a standard rebuild piece. Martin 87DJP2001 09-09-2003, 12:55 PM If you have to ask what it is and its location, my opinion would be that you don't need it. So do a little more research on the subject. (hint: in the tranny);) mrr23 09-09-2003, 07:33 PM now this is for the super servo. but, same place just a different kind of servo. http://www.technovelocity.com/chevyhackers/tech_articles/super_servo/super_servo.html Pro Built Automatics 09-12-2003, 12:38 PM Get an ATSG book and see where it goes, or do a little research on this as there is plenty of information on this. As to what the Corvette servo does, it will firm up 2nd gear (apply area larger) & 3rd gear (accumulation, more apply oil directed to 3rd gear). | ||
