Talking Would a .060 455 with High Domes and a nice cam be a decent starting set up?

I currently have a 86 Z-28 but I think im gonna stop modding it becasue I drive it everyday and its slowly getting worse on gas mileage so I think Im gonna get another set-up specifically as a toy. Give you a little background on what I think Im gonna get.

A long time ago in a galaxy far away my Dad started work on a 455 for his 1970 Firebird he spent alot of money getting the machine work done right. Bored .060 over with forged hi dome pistons (not sure of exact specs)I htink it has the 2.11 heads if it doesnt Ill get some I think it has an aftermarket cam in it to. He bought a top of the line 850 cfm holley double pumper and high rise intake. He stuck it in the Bird and for reasons beyond my knowledge he just stopped working on it. And so it sat in a garage wiht a car cover on it for nearly 20 years being fired up around every 2 years maybe (with which it did with no problem :])
Anyway Im sure I could get the car with only a modest amound of begging.

The Firebird has a stock TH-400 and whtever rearend came stock on 350 70' Firebirds maybe one of you could tell me. Any way Id like feedback on how promising this set-up could possibly be with time time and money.

That would be a terrible setup for your car. It would be a far better choice for my car! Please ship it as soon as possible!!!

jk ... I'm sure it has been done by someone, but I'll bet you will have lots of fabricating to do!

LOL why would I have to do alot of fabricating the engines already in the car and running it has just never been fine tuned and I want to further modify it just for the strip.

Sorry, I misread that ... I thought you wanted to put the Poncho in the Iroc. You get to have the car too!!?? What's not to like about that! I had a milder version of that car way back when. My tires hated that motor.

Anyho ... that car is way to powerful ... please send it to me before you get hurt!
