How are you posting this if your in the parking lot?

Is there gridlock traffic on Woodward right now? I hate sitting in my car and idling for 3 hours in the heat. I might be up there later tonight.

Is there power on Woodward?

The cruise ends at 8pm? Well, they better not kick everyone out at that time. That's about the time it begins to get fun. It's supposed to thunderstorm today until about 8pm today also.

Cruise was extended until 9PM.

Power was restored in the morning.

Everything went without a hitch.

Weather was perfect, albeit a bit hot.

Drinks available everywhere, Portapotties abundant, fuel stations all pumping gas, and plenty of food.

It was great, and I can't wait until next year!

Yeah it was pretty cool. Posting from the cruise

It was fun for sure.... I did 3 or 4 burnouts and never even got a ticket. Although my transmission mount is now destroyed, that was a weird feeling the first time I hammered it after it broke, having the tranny slam into the tunnel.

All in all it was fun.

well i went and it kicked ***. i only did 2 burnouts because i went up there on tires that already arent legal to be driving on.. i cruised the entire north part of woodward and half of the south lanes. that took from about 5:00-8:30. i know my car got pretty hot. i never turned on the a/c and ran the heat at times to be safe. after being held up for so long then getting on it, i could tell my car was really hot by the lack of power it made. and the damn fake temp gauge gm put in was no help.. 210 alll day there was this brand new orange saleen stang with temp tags there and this drunk guy kept trying to talk him into lighting them up. i have some pics, but they pretty much suck. ill post a link later.. oh and i saw a biker try a burnout and lost control. the bike went into the next lane and he was almost run over..

What about the rain? Normally, I would have frowned on rain at a car show. But when the rain came Saturday afternoon, it had been so hot that getting wet in the rain felt good. Several of us got out from underneath the canopies and got wet on purpose. Then it cooled down after that, also a plus.

Good times, good friends, cool cars. Doesn't get a whole lot better than that.
