if it moves back and forth but wont come off it might be the inspection shield catching the flywheel ask me how i know. If it is just stuck on the aligning pegs try tapping the bellhousing on the side with a hammer right by the pins.

next step get the 3ft. pry bar if you have a gap at all, be 100% that all the bolts are out first. I have had this problem on other cars before.

When I do it, I will take the tranny away from the bellhousing first, then pull the bellhousing.

I take it you have your shifter off and the tranny crossmember and torque arm detached?

When I did it, I dropped the trans, then the bellhousing. Make sure all of the bolts are out and that the inspection cover is off as well. The inspection cover is held on by 4 (I think that's the number) bolts and its that thin stamped steel piece on the engine side of the bellhousing. I had to give my bellhousing a few love taps with a hammer and then used a pry bar to get it seperated, then shook it like crazy til it came off in my hands. HTH

Alright, my trans was originally just stuck to the block, now we tried for hours to get it out and its catching on the flywheel and tunnel. Its digging a groove in the tunnel and catching on the flywheel or something. Im getting so frustrated, i stopped for the night.
