Hey fellas,
I have a 1978 Z/28 that I just bought. It has a 1985 305 HO in it.
The mods are carb (Holley 650 Double Pumper) Wolverine cam, roller rockers, double roller timing chain, thrush exhaust, Shift kit + 2 speed powerglide shifter.
This was all on it when we bought it. We just had to get the correct shift cable for it.
Well the problem goes, we just got the car back from the mechanic (he stuck the shift cable on) and when we go to get right on the pedal it dies down. We can ease on the pedal and it will run fine, but you can't just "stomp on it."
We haven't really done anything to it to find out but all I can think of is, is it getting the right amount of fuel or get it tuned so everything is timed right. I'm not sure whether the guy had it done or not but she isn't runnin like she should.
Another problem is, with the transmission, it goes into gears hard.
If anyone has any ideas we'd be greatly appreciated if you could help us. Thanks guys.
Take it easy,
Justin
